Product Marketing Manager at Tessian
London, GB
At Tessian, our mission is to keep the world’s most sensitive data and systems private and secure. Our platform uses machine intelligence to understand human communication at scale, allowing us to protect some of the world’s largest organisations from threats executable by humans.
As we enter a new phase of growth, we are looking for our Product Marketing Manager to help us build the next-generation of information security for the enterprise.
For us, building a modern machine learning platform for enterprise requires a paradigm shift from traditional product management. Our product team focuses on the ‘why’ and the ‘what’, and then works collaboratively with our technical engineering teams to establish the ‘how’ and our marketing team to craft the narrative. We are still early on in our journey, so there are plenty of opportunities to help define how we think about product here, the processes we create and how we measure ourselves and the impact we have.
Product marketing sits squarely in the middle of the product team and marketing team. At Tessian, we feel product marketing works better when reporting into the product team due to the complexity and technical nature of the platform - however Product Marketers will work very closely with the rest of the marketing team on a day-to-day basis.
In a world of marketing buzzwords and half-truths, the job of a Product Marketing Manager at Tessian is to cut through this noise and craft a powerful message telling the world why Tessian solves problems our competitors cannot.
As a Product Marketing Manager you will:
-Deeply understand the security market and competitive landscape
-Talk to customers to understand both their product needs and their reaction to different Tessian product concepts
-Decide on how we position our platform in the market and how we message it strategically to different customer cohorts (which span sectors, geographies and scale)
-Write clear and concise content making complex concepts engaging and simple to understand; you’ll work closely with Marketing & Design to bring content to life in various formats
-Champion the product messaging and positioning internally, ensuring the commercial side of the business are knowledgeable about product and messaging
Although previous product marketing experience is not an absolute requirement, it certainly helps if you’ve helped position and message enterprise products before.

We'd love to meet someone who

    • An excellent writer with great communication skills; technical fluency is highly advantageous
    • Able to create engaging content that’s intelligible and technically accurate
    • Passionate about technology and its ability to solve complex problems
    • Excited about Tessian’s mission and product
    • Able to think critically about why having a great product alone is not enough to succeed

Why we think you'll love it here

    • We offer a competitive base salary plus on-track performance incentives with annual benefit and salary reviews
    • Equity options are offered with every role
