Our Business Development team at Tessian has tripled in size over the last year, driving our 400% revenue increase. We never stop striving for excellence so are  looking for Business Development Managers to supercharge our ambitious growth plans.
As a Business Development Manager you will experience entrepreneurship in its most raw, gritty form. You get to experience the highs and lows, all at bottleneck pace. Industry- defining deals are the norm, and your targets have a direct impact on the products our team can ship, the services we can offer to our customers, and our ultimate mission to protect enterprises from threats executed by humans in order to keep the world’s most sensitive data and systems secure.
This unique sales opportunity is ready for ambitious individuals to capitalise on the current regulatory environment and sell machine learning technology for an exciting Accel-backed startup!
We’re looking for someone who relishes the thought of originating, navigating and executing high value accounts with senior level management, IT, Information Security and Compliance stakeholders.
Our Business Development team are 'full stack' operators and work on deals from lead generation through to close with support from our marketing and outbound growth team. Our team is agile - and opportunities for progression don't have an upper limit. A really fantastic team member could easily find themselves managing a team of their own in a year's time and/or closing large-scale enterprise deals.

Day-to-day activities include:

    • Building and managing a sales pipeline on your own
    • Presenting our product to senior executives in client meetings
    • Navigating through complex sales cycles with some of the most prestigious companies across EMEA and the Asia Pacific region
    • Being able to anticipate and manage and influence on prospects objections
    • Ensuring high level of responsiveness with prospects through the sales process
    • Proactively sourcing new leads and new business opportunities
    • Reporting on sales activity and revenue forecasts
    • Researching accounts to understand need, enable effective follow up, and generate interest
    • Collaborating with team members and finding strategic ways to win business
    • Producing ad-hoc marketing and sales documentation
    • Building strong relationships with your prospects but also all internal stakeholders involved in the sales cycle

We'd love to meet someone who:

    • Is a self starter and able to work under their own initiative
    • Ideally has experience in a B2B sales roles (carrying quota) and a track record of delivering results, finding ways to work through barriers, and displaying excellent business judgement
    • Ideally has experience at a fast-growing venture-backed company
    • Presents themselves as highly credible and articulate face-to-face, over the phone, and via email
    • Has a confident persona and can deliver extraordinary customer relationships
    • Is a highly intelligent individual, comfortable with technology and software
    • Is very good at communicating complex ideas in a simple, compelling wayIs professional and results oriented
    • Has a consistent track record of excellence and exceeding expectations and targets
