Manager, Global Sales Development at Contentful
San Francisco, CA, US

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager, you’ll play an important role in building and scaling Contentful’s SDR organization from the ground up. This is a mission-critical position where you’ll define processes and establish best practices for lead generation. You’ll provide continuous and constructive coaching for our SDRs in both San Francisco and Berlin, as well as spearhead recruiting and onboarding efforts. We’re looking for a motivational leader who can meet people where they are at and mentor them to be top-performers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit, hire, and build out our hybrid outbound and inbound sales development team
  • Create processes and set best practices for our growing sales development organization
  • Be a mentor and provide hands-on coaching and professional development for our SDRs
  • Conduct weekly forecasts and oversee sales development goals, metrics, and quota achievement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Customer Success to optimize top of funnel performance
  • Effectively manage an international team in San Francisco and Berlin
  • Shape the vision and strategy of our sales development team

YOUR PROFILE/REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of management experience as a sales development team lead
  • 1-3 years of direct sales (closing) experience, preferably technical SaaS
  • You’re data driven and have an analytical approach to identifying trends in pipeline and performance
  • You’re a highly effective and empathetic communicator
  • Fluency in sales enablement tools and platforms (lead generation, email, phone, data enrichment & cleansing, SDR processes, etc.)
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience growing and scaling a successful sales development team in a fast growth environment
  • Ability to travel internationally on an up to quarterly basis
