Apprenticeship - Supplier Content Editor at The Hut Group

Role Summary:

The role of the Content Team in an e-commerce business is to provide accurate product information and data to allow customers to search and browse effectively, in order to make an informed buying decision. The Supplier Content Editor will be responsible for building and maintaining the product content across a range of Hut Group categories, including:

  • Gifting
  • Health and Beauty
  • Sports
  • Home & Garden
  • DVD/ Blu-Ray
  • Games.

The role includes creating product listings and enhancing them with accurate attributes, images and product text.
The Supplier Content Editor must have excellent communication skills in order to liaise with contacts both internally and externally.

REQUIREMENTS

What will I be doing?

  • Completing monthly objectives in timescale set by NVQ assessor
  • Completing 3 hours NVQ / Training / Study Time per week as part of NVQ qualification
  • Striving to learn and ensuring the correct information is obtained to complete NVQ modules
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Hut Group product pages
  • Support the business objective of enhancing a customer’s onsite experience.
  • Revisiting and improving the quality of the catalogue as advised by internal customers and manager
  • Liaising with internal and external customers
  • Competency using Microsoft Office

  • An interest in product data and products.
  • Good attention to detail and a drive to deliver the best.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload and time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Works well, both alone and as part of a team.
  • An understanding of how an e-commerce business works.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment to support the demands of the business needs.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
