Head of Sales Development at Tessian
Sales Development is the science of making something from nothing by reaching out to a prospect. Most of our revenue has been generated this way -- first by our founders, then our direct sales team and now by our purpose-built Sales Development team.
We grew revenue by over 4x in the last 12 months, and we have bold ambitions to do that again in the next 12 months. A key to achieving this is our Sales Development team, which will be scaling up to match our pipeline goals.
Purpose of the Role
This new role presents a fantastic opportunity to lead the Sales Development team (10+ people) to achieve significant new business acquisition targets. The Sales Development team reach out to generate appointments between our Sales team and prospects.Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will demonstrate leadership, sales operations and great people skills in order to consistently inspire your team to support the pipeline goals of the company.This is a very exciting role as you will initially be responsible for around half the pipeline of the company, including both prospecting existing verticals and developing new ones. The team is growing fast and provides both the challenge and satisfaction of hiring and developing top talent into the commercial stars of the future. You will be given a large degree of autonomy to run the Sales Development team, and also a seat at the table in setting the commercial strategy.
