Event Coordinator at Sophia Genetics
Boston, MA, US

    Plan, manage and execute onsite and offsite events in the USA (conferences, workshops, webinars), more than 20 events per year 

·       Prepare the 2019 event management strategy in collaboration with the Global Event Officers and the VP Marketing

·       Manage the payments process and budgets

·       Follow up with conference feedback and post-event reports (metrics)

·       Act as main point-of-contact for all outside vendors, communicate our specific needs for each event and ensuring these needs are met

·       Ensure effective advertising and promotion of events including social media, newsletters, emailing, and invitations

·       Think, create and deploy a whole training/coaching solution to form the Sales Team (messaging, slide, talk, good habits, behavior, etc.) in collaboration with the Global Event Officers

·       Work effectively with staff from all departments to facilitate event planning and execution

·       Support the sales team (promotional material, presentation, etc.)

·       Stock management (flyers, brochures, and event materials)

·       Assisting the Global team with marketing activities

Required Skills

·       Ability to solve complex problems and issues, highly organized and detail oriented

·       Strong organization capabilities

·       Priority and stress management

·       Ability to speak in front of a small and large groups

·       Ability to travel from time to time

·       Strong ability to multi task and effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously

·       Creative and able to think outside the box

·       Full proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite

·       Professional, clear communication skills, both written and verbal – Multilingual skills are desirable but not required.

Required Experience

·       Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or any other relevant field

·       2- 5 years’ experience in conference management, coordinating and executing events from conception to completion, in a healthcare company would be a plus
