About us

GoCardless is the only global payments company focused on recurring payments.

Our vision is to be the best way to collect these payments and we are on a mission to take the pain out of getting paid.

Already, we’ve built a global network of bank debit schemes that - with the addition of ACH - will cover ~75% of the world’s recurring payment volumes. On top of this network we’ve built a simple, developer-friendly platform that enables the ~45,000 merchants whom we serve to collect payments around the world. We now process ~$1B in payment volume every month and this number is growing fast. Last year we opened offices in Paris, Munich and Melbourne, with more to follow in Spain and the US in 2019.

Our strategic partnerships with market-leading platforms such as Zuora, Xero and Chargebee have been critical to our global success and have allowed us to work with a huge range of organisations: small gyms and scout groups use us to reduce admin; fast growing companies like Funding Circle use us to power their growth; established institutions like The Guardian use us to dramatically reduce failure rates.

Our HQ is in London and to date we have raised $123M in capital from some of the world’s leading investors, including Accel Partners, Google Ventures (GV), Salesforce Ventures and Y Combinator.

The ANZ team

GoCardless have ambitious plans for Australia and New Zealand. Unlike other players in the ANZ payments landscape, we are focused solely on simplifying recurring payments. This focus allows us to create the best possible experience for merchants who take recurring payments, whether by improving their cashflow, saving time through automation or saving money vs. expensive credit card fees. Our global bank-to-bank network also makes it easier than ever for Australian and New Zealand businesses to collect seamlessly from customers in other parts of the world.

We only launched in Australia and New Zealand last year and are growing fast - we are significantly ahead of where our UK business was at the same stage in its existence. We are now seeing traction from a number of recurring revenue verticals, supported by our Partners, including Zuora, Chargebee and others. In addition to a seconded team from HQ, we now have a permanent - and growing - team in the heart of Melbourne, led by our new General Manager. We are building this team out as we prove product-market fit.

Your role

Based in our Melbourne office, you will be the first point of contact for any Australian or Kiwi businesses interested in GoCardless. You’ll assist them through early stages of their journey, from initial contact through to them being handed over to our Sales team.

You will also execute outbound lead generation (calls, emails, LinkedIn, Events and other social media) to support growing the Sales pipeline. You will work closely with the broader Sales and Marketing teams to conduct targeted outbound account prospecting.

We will give you extensive training, so that you will be able to engage with prospective customers, uncover their needs, articulate our vision and sell our value proposition.
