Prodigy Finance is a platform that enables financing for international postgraduate students at the world’s best universities, whilst delivering competitive financial and social returns to alumni, institutional and private investors.

This borderless and innovative model enables education loan financing to students from across the globe, whilst using predicted post-degree affordability rather than present-day salary. Since 2007, Prodigy Finance has extended over US$600 million through the platform to fund over 12,000 students from over 150 countries.

Our team of over 190 (and growing) is already truly global. Our head office is in London with much of the team being based in beautiful Cape Town. We also have an office in New York plus team members based across Europe and Asia.

Our team is very international and very sociable; you will interact with the broader business on a regular basis. The position will be based in Cape Town.

What you will do in the role

  • Build and develop a workforce modelling function at Prodigy Finance
  • Work with data to determine optimal staffing requirements across the operations value chain
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop insights to support decisions in the product and finance team
  • Take the lead on various improvement projects across the business
  • Designing business processes that strive toward the goal of predictable and reliable process performance that improve customer experience
  • Ensuring that target process improvement opportunities are supported by valid and achievable business cases
  • Tracking and reporting on impacts of initiatives
  • Assist the business to map the current business processes
  • Perform root cause analysis on problem areas in the business
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive the gap analysis on current business processes
  • Facilitation of continuous improvement workshops to assist with gap analysis and to-be process definition

What you will be measured on

  • Ability to use data and provide deep insights and forecasts aimed at meeting our customers service levels
  • Ability to lead and support improvement initiatives across the business
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders

What you need to be great at 

  • Managing multiple, concurrent and complex priorities

  • Navigating working in a new environment 

Who we are looking for; track record must haves

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in forecasting and data modelling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Experience that would be nice to have (but we’ll trade off if everything else fits)

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Master’s degree
  • Simulation and/or Queuing theory experience
  • Zendesk Administration Certification
