Client Money & Asset Specialist (CASS) - Reconciliations at Nutmeg

As we continue to shake up the investment world, Nutmeg is moving on to the next stage of its journey to build the most customer-centric investment business possible. To help us serve our customers better, we are looking for an experienced Client Money & Asset Specialist.

 

Working in a fast-paced environment you’ll be managing / running an in-house client money & assets function, maintaining the highest standards of customer money and act within the regulatory framework at all times. You’ll be an integral part of the growth of this area of the business and will be rewarded with high value, exciting and challenging work.

REQUIREMENTS

Key responsibilities:

 

 

  • Manage the Client Money requirement by ensuring complete and accurate internal and external reporting of the firm's Client Money and Asset Requirements
  • Daily Nostro and Depot Reconciliations within SLAs
  • Ensure daily client money calculations are performed and validated
  • Completion of all daily payments within SLAs
  • Daily Reconciliation and funding of Net Settlement
  • Processing both Incoming and Outgoing ISA Transfer
  • Processing all Dividend receipts across internal Books and Records
  • Full Investigation of Unapplied Funds to resolution
  • Interacting with and supporting internal and external audit functions
  • Work closely and openly with other departments such as Trading, Client Services, Technical and Product (partnering with these teams on a daily basis)
  • Production of Key Daily, Weekly and Monthly MI Reports
  • Ongoing support and development of Internal and External Systems
  • Ensuring Team Procedures are maintained and updated on a regular basis
  • Activity 16 Overseeing on a day to day basis safe-guarding & administering investments or holding client money
  • Activity 17 Overseeing on a day to day basis administrative functions in relation to managing investments:
  • Arranging settlement;
  • Monitoring & processing corporate actions;
  • Client account administration, liaison & reporting including valuation & performance measurement;
  • ISA or CTF administration
  • Investment trust savings scheme administration

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Nutmeg is a company with high ambitions and we want to put in place a Client Money & Asset team that can keep up with our growth. As of this, we need:
  • Practical experience of running client money calculations
  • Understanding of the Reconciliation processes and knowledge of the Regulatory landscape
  • Strong Reconciliation skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Good problem solving ability
  • Intermediate level of Excel - Pivot tables / VLOOKUP
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve and strength Operations Procedures
  • Comfortable in a continually changing environment
  • Ability to handle and lead change
  • Competent in writing procedures
  • Good with people and helping them through Change
