General Ledger Analyst at Recorded Future

Job Overview:
Recorded Future is looking to hire a General Ledger Analyst to sit in our Global HQ in Somerville, Massachusetts.  Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will be a key member of the 10 person Accounting & Finance team. This is a tremendous opportunity to drive process improvements and be part of a growing company while advancing your skills along with the company’s growth.  You will assist the team with key operational areas; such as month-end close, general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, equity accounting, and financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support all the Accounting back-office function 
  • Process accounts payable and receivable and manage the order to cash and procure to pay cycles
  • Prepare journal entries and accruals to ensure accuracy of the General Ledger
  • Communicate with vendors and internal personnel in acquiring invoices, purchase order as well as troubleshoot disputes.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets Module and make necessary monthly journal entries to record fixed asset additions and monthly depreciation expense
  • Auditing and analyzing expense reports to ensure compliance with the firm's travel and entertainment (T&E) expense reimbursement policies
  • Full balance sheet reconciliation and assist with month end close
  • Expert knowledge of accounting/finance principles and GAAP
  • Perform ad hoc assignments

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA a plus
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant Accounting experience
  • Experience with Netsuite, Bill.com and Adaptive a plus
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Prior experience within SaaS/tech industry preferred or work with SaaS/tech clients a plus
  • Strong problem solver, possessing the ability to see how the different pieces of the puzzle fit together
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral, to act as a cross-functional business partner
  • Highly detail oriented, with an analytical approach to supporting the strategic decision-making process
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
