Commercial Finance Analyst at The Hut Group

About the Division:

Finance at THG is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of finance from central functions such as accounts receivable and payable, treasury, tax and internal audit, to specific commercial teams for each of our divisions; Beauty, Tech, Consumer, Health and Brands. As the business expands and takes on new challenges in the form of acquired businesses or new ventures, finance is there to support every step of the way, leading to dynamic and challenging roles – no two days are the same! Common characteristics among our team are the ability to drive change, adaptability and resourcefulness, to ensure we can keep pace with the business, without compromising on financial control or sales performance.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with Senior Stakeholders
  • Analytical, quick to grasp the fundamentals of a business and have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-moving and changeable environment.
  • Previous commercial / business partnering role essential
  • Previous experience in e-commerce essential Experience in demanding, fast moving environment essential
  • Experience with data (Access /SQL) preferred but not essential Committed, determined & ambitious Will be responsible for reporting on the specified P&L categories
  • Expected to understand / analyse these areas across key territories
  • Be able to communicate findings to the wider business Add value by making recommendations / improvements to mode
  • Improve P&L performance by effecting change in business processes
  • Total ownership of relevant balance sheet items Weekly forecasting ownership
  • Contribution to month end tasks including posting journals
