Backed by global giants KKR and Blackrock, The Hut Group’s acquisition of UK2 was a strategic opportunity to develop the existing proprietary technology platform behind our health and beauty brands. It also enhances the server infrastructure, programmatic development and platform security.

With experience which spans two decades, we have seen the online landscape alter beyond recognition, and have adapted our service offering in accordance with the rapid developments in hardware capabilities, data transfer speeds and global business demands.

We are looking for a Datacenter Operations Engineer to help manage our server deployments and hosting server environments. This person will need to be knowledgeable in server hardware support, troubleshooting and maintenance. Excellent communication skills and experience working across multiple teams is required. This is a full-time salary position, working days/swings during the week and weekends.



  • This position serves as an escalation point for our Level 1 technical support team for additional troubleshooting of more complex technical support issues
  • This position is responsible for coordinating new server deployments including working with various datacenter staff (i.e. Smart Hands / Remote Hands) to ensure timely and accurate completion of each deployment as well as working with the end user to validate the accuracy of the deployment post-delivery
  • This position will manage various internal projects to help improve our internal infrastructure
  • This position will be responsible for monitoring, patching and general management of some infrastructure servers
  • This position will provide hardware support for our server environment, such as physically replacing hard drives, ram and IPMI/lights out configuration.


  • Strong Linux Knowledge (CentOS/RedHat, Ubuntu, Debian)
  • Strong understanding of server hardware and troubleshooting. We utilize Supermicro servers.
  • Basic understanding of various open source technologies including Apache, MySQL
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, VLANs, DHCP, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Ability to multitask, this department/position is fast-paced, and we have the privilege of working with teams across the globe.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrates extremely careful attention to detail
  • Ability to lift over 50lbs
  • Occasional travel (< 10%) to work in remote datacenter locations deploying hardware

Bonus Points:

  • Windows Server Knowledge (Server 2012, 2016, 2019)
  • Ability to write code or scripts in bash, python
  • Previous experience working with fiber optics, SFP’s
  • Previous experience working with Remote Hands / Smart Hands in remote datacenters
