ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Sales Engineering Manager, you are responsible for building and running a team of 6-10 regionally distributed Sales Engineers throughout EMEA. You will grow the team already in place and work in close collaboration with regional sales and partnership teams to align on go-to-market strategy, role focus and locations in order to support our continued exponential growth.
Contentful’s Sales Engineers explain and demonstrate the benefits of our platform and approach regarding content management to developers, product managers, marketing leaders, and C-level executives. Our Sales Engineers advocate for keystone customer needs, and synthesize their in-market experiences to provide strategic insights to our Product and leadership teams.
Our Sales Engineers are critical members of our sales team and own key components of the sales process including infrastructural/architectural discovery, collaborative solution design, and technical validation. Sales Engineers may travel up to 25% of the time and will have the opportunity to work with teams around the world, from visionary brands to innovative digital agencies.
In collaboration with our Solution Architects, Sales Engineers at Contentful also play a critical role after the conclusion of a sales contract by continuing to advise and assist the customers’ developers and implementation teams in conjunction with the efforts of our Customer Success Management team.
