The role encompasses:

        You will lead our new “Provider Integration” team - a cross-functional, autonomous product engineering team. The team will work on facilitating meaningful interactions between medical providers and Kaia users. The work that the team will do has high strategic priority and impact.
        You will actively participate in discovery & concept work together with other engineers, PM, UX, data analysts, medical doctors.
        As a TLM, you will be the partner to the PM and team up to define team goals, direction, delivery timeline and consistently work towards reducing the complexity of projects, services, and processes.
        You will act as the supervisor of all engineers in your team. Mentor the engineers, hold regular 1:1s, provide meaningful feedback, help set goals to facilitate personal growth, and ensure employee retention. Hire additional engineers.
        You will own product delivery end-to-end for your team and develop a deep understanding of our technology stack in order to provide hands-on technical direction to your team.
        You will contribute production code to our Ruby on Rails backend.

About you:

        You have previous experience providing mentorship, vision, and motivation to a small team.
        You are capable of taking a helicopter view, grasp & articulate the big picture yet are also able to drill down and get into the details when needed.
        Previous experience working in a cross-functional, product-focused team that embraces lean and agile product development practices and data-driven decision making.
        Strong coder with deep technical knowledge of software development - ideally including Ruby on Rails
        Strong software architecture & data modeling skills and ability to base engineering decisions on product vision
        Strong knowledge of data structures, design patterns, and software engineering best practices
        Academic degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
        You are a good listener, but also argue for the cause when needed
        Highly pragmatic, self-driven, professional personality with an aspiration to excel in your role.
